At Camp Arnes, we’re not much for sitting around. In fact, there’s so much fun to be had, it’s a marvel we’re able to fit it all into one week! From the moment they arrive until the final hour, Explorers get acquainted with the best of what Summer Camp is all about.
A “normal” day at Camp for Explorers starts off right with an awesome, kid-friendly breakfast; the perfect way to fuel up for a day packed with fun. Then it’s straight off to activities (listed below) like the High Ropes Challenge Course and the Giant Swing. Old favourites like Pony Rides and Archery and new classics like Pedal Carts all make an appearance. Even cabin clean up can be entertaining, with special prizes at the end of the week for everyone, just for making your bed! Over 65 years of camping experience means our outgoing, caring cabin leaders turn every moment into fun.
An awesome lunch and some rest time lets Explorers catch their breath and fill their tummies and then it’s right back to the activities; creating memories at the Creator’s Studio or soaring over the lake at the Giant Swing. In the afternoon things cool off a bit at the pool (with basketball, volleyball and cannonballs!) and at the beach (with the waterside, dock and a sandcastle or two). Along the way, Explorers stop by the Tuck Shop for another Fun-Dip and other sweet treats.
Awesome Camp wide games like Capture the Flag await after an amazing supper, then it’s off to Fireside for silly songs, snacks and stories. The day ends as it began, with cabins full of Explorers dreaming of the next day’s adventures!
