Thank you for an AMAZING Summer 2021!

Check out our Summer page to view videos from our 2021 Day Camps in Winnipeg.

Following Friday, August 20th, Summer 2021 at Camp Arnes finally came to a close. After four weeks of Day Camps, we had the opportunity to befriend, speak the Gospel to and have fun with 94 campers! Thanks to our 17 staff members, Camp Arnes was able to continue serving and leading young people into a growing and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ through adventure in creation! We had no clue what kind of impact Camp would make but we’re praising the Lord that we ended having four weeks to do His work.

We want to give the biggest thanks to Elmwood MB Church. When we were planning Day Camps, we weren’t sure where we would host them. In the questions of how Camp Arnes would run, EMBC graciously partnered with us to continue the ministry of the Gospel that has guided Camp in years gone by. Without their partnership in usage of the building and in prayer, Camp Arnes might not have had Day Camps at all. Thank you to Ken Stoesz, Conrad Dueck, Cody Forsman, Marni Enns, Megan Enns and Wilfred Bergen for your support to Camp Arnes through this summer.

We also want to thank MBCI for usage of their gyms on our Gym Days during the summer, as well as usage of their smaller bus for one of our Afternoon Adventures. Our best days at Day Camp seemed to involve MBCI in some way so it’s safe to assume that without them, we wouldn’t have had nearly as much fun! Thanks to Elwood Wiebe and Josh Bissell for the work you put in to help us out.

Finally, we’d like to thank our four speakers: Cody Forsman, Conrad Dueck, Brian and Ruth Dyck and John Schaffner. Our campers got to hear the Word of God because of their ministry with us. Although speaking at Camp is a daunting task, they took it head-on and impacted the lives of campers that may last for a lifetime. To all our speakers, thank you for being so unashamed of the Gospel and being so willing to share it with others.

For all our staff members who came on during an uncertain period of history and for all the parents who sent their kids to Day Camps, thank you for thinking of Camp Arnes and choosing us. Most of all, thanks to all the campers who made the summer awesome! Without everyone involved, there wouldn’t have even been a Day Camp Summer. Praise be to God for His provisions for us and for the life He breathed into our previously hopeless situation. We’re excited to see where we go moving into a season of planning for Summer 2022!
