Can my child request a friend to be in their cabin?
Campers may request up to two friends to bunk with them. Campers must be of a same age and complete the ‘cabin mate request’ section on the registration form. We will do our best to accommodate these requests.

Is there transportation to Camp Arnes on the first day of the camp?
The bus ride to camp is included in the fee for campers during July and August. Campers wishing to travel to camp by bus, must indicate this on their registration form. If your child is not on the bus list we cannot allow them to board. 
Please arrive at the bus NO LATER than 7:45 am on Mondays. Bus leaves 173 Talbot Avenue (Northeast end of Disraeli Bridge at Route 37 East), Winnipeg, at 8:15 a.m. Be ready to board at 7:45 a.m. Bus returns to 173 Talbot Avenue at 3:00 p.m. Saturdays.

Is there transportation at the end of the week back to Winnipeg?
Campers returning home on Visitor's Day (Saturday) should ride with parents. Campers wishing to travel home by bus must purchase a Bus Pass for $10.00 (+ GST.) each. (See Transportation section on Registration Form).

What kind of medical care is available for my child while at camp?
Camper's health needs are met above and beyond the standards of the Manitoba Camping Association. Not only is a qualified nurse on duty during all camp sessions, most of our staff are Red Cross first aid certified. Complete hospital and medical services are available within 20 minutes of Arnes. In the event a doctor prescribes medication for your child during his/her stay, the parent/guardian will be contacted and billed for the cost of the prescription.
 
When do I need to pick up my child from camp on the last day?
Parents and friends of the family are invited to visit Camp Arnes on Saturdays. Meet your child's cabin leader and see the people and places that have formed your child's memories of their exciting adventure. You are invited to join us for a Parents Program and complimentary lunch starting at 11:30 am.  If you are picking up your child from the bus please meet the bus at 173 Talbot Ave at 3:00 pm on Saturday afternoon.
 
If I can't afford to send my child to camp, are there any opportunities for assistance?
Camp Arnes offers a several options for those that need assistance.  Clean & Green, not only do you help "clean" Winnipeg, your camper helps raise funds for the Camp Arnes Campership Fund and can potentially earn his/her camp fees for free.  Contact our registrar for more information.  Volunteering at camp is another way to save a penny or two, join us for a full week of camp and save 50% off your camp fees (up too $188.00).  If you are interested in volunteer contact our Volunteer Coordinator. Funds have been made available to Camp Arnes by donors for individuals who would like to attend camp but cannot afford the entire fee. Click here for more information about camper scholarships, application form, etc. The form must be completed and returned with the registration form and a $50.00 deposit for each camper. Availability of funds is subject to donations.
 
When will I know if I my child is signed up for camp?
The registration is processed only if information is complete, the full fee or $50.00 deposit is enclosed and the registration form is signed by parent/guardian. You will be notified of your acceptance by mail.
 
Who should I make my cheques out to?
Make cheques or money order payable to Camp Arnes. Postdated cheques will be accepted on balance of fee only. Any cheque that is returned, due to insufficient funds, will be charged a fee of $15.00 and will result in cancellation of your registration.
 
Is there any discount, if I have more than one child attending camp?
If your child and one or more of their siblings attend Camp Arnes, deduct $25 per child per session. To qualify for the sibling discount your children's registrations must be submitted in one package. This discount does not apply to children registering through any agencies.
 
What is the cancellation policy?
Where cancellation is made three or more weeks prior to the session, the fee, less $50.00 will be refunded. If cancelling less than three weeks prior to session, no refund will be issued without a doctors certificate. No refund will be issued for dismissal due to disciplinary action, late arrival, early departure, or for medical reasons. Deposits and fees are non-transferable.
 
How long does it take to get f rom Winnipeg to Camp Arnes?
If traveling by car, allow 1 ½ hours driving time from Winnipeg. It is important to arrive at Camp Arnes by 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
