Honorarium
Summer staff are all considered to be volunteers. However, the camp does recognize experienced staff by paying a small honorarium. Our policy is as follows:

First year staff will receive an honorarium of $200/wk, not including time spent at staff training, plus Share-a-Day’s Wage, up to an additional $600/wk.

Second year staff will receive an honorarium of $215/wk, not including time spent at staff training, plus Share-a-Day’s Wage, up to an additional $600/wk.

Third year and up staff will receive an honorarium of $230/wk, not including time spend at staff training, plus Share-a-Day’s Wage, up to an additional $600/wk.

Leadership Staff will receive an honorarium of $250/wk, including time spent at staff training, plus Share-a-Day’s Wage, up to an additional $600/wk. Spring Staff will receive an honorarium of $230/wk, including time spent at staff training, plus Share-a-Day’s Wage, up to an additional $600/wk.

International Staff will receive a stipend for their time spent working with us which includes room and board.

Raise additional support through the Share-a-Day’s Wage Program (SDW)

All staff are encouraged to utilize the SDW program as financial support for their summer ministry. Each staff finds prospective donors (25-50) family, friends, relatives and their home church for ministry support.

Camp Arnes will assist staff by providing an informational letter, which will be mailed to each potential supporter along with a personal letter from you.

Each staff member is eligible to receive a maximum of $600/wk plus any honorarium paid by Camp Arnes. All donations must be made to Camp Arnes. Please be aware that all SDW donations will be subject to an 8% deduction for Employment Insurance, and Canada Pension Plan. In addition, the employee will be deducted for their portion of Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan and Income Tax as required by CCRA. Details of the SDW program will be provided to all the staff.

When asked, most people support Christian young people serving at summer camp. This program has worked well for many of our summer staff.

Prayer is vital for super-natural ministry. For this reason, we ask you to find ten prayer partners who will commit to praying for you regularly. Please email an electronic photo (jpg format) of yourself and we will send your prayer cards to you for distribution once your application process has been successfully completed. Your photograph will be kept on file.
